A MULTI-REGIONAL MEETING PLACE Located in one of the most urban settings in Orange County, church members travel from as far away as Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Laguna Niguel, Rancho Santa Margarita, Yorba Linda, and all points in between. Why do so many people travel such distances to be part of an old, downtown church?

RICH DIVERSITY FPCSA is "healthily mixed up." If you visit FPCSA, you will find a variety of every generation, race and social status. In fact, there are members from across the globe. And there is room for more. Already, a Spanish-speaking fellowship group has been established and more will continue to be established as God brings people into leadership and commitment. These groups are not separate congregations, however they are able celebrate the common faith in the language of their homeland and in the rich traditions of their cultural heritage. On Sunday mornings, each group gathers in seperate buildings, yet together in spirit to worship our Creator and celebrate the diverse, colorful fabric that is the family of God.

COMMUNITY THAT REFLECTS CHRIST The worship services are dynamic and inspirational, celebrating both contemporary and traditional worship styles. The preaching is Biblically-based and relevant. But most importantly, Christ is seen in the genuine, warm and friendly people that make up the church. Claiming several generations, various ethnic backgrounds and different hopes, dreams and ideas, this church still feels like one family, uniting under the common sacred beliefs in the hope, love and salvation that God offers. On any given Sunday, a wealthy business person might sit in the same pew as a troubled transient who has no home; a recent immigrant from Guatemala may take communion with a member who's been living in Santa Ana for over 50 years; and yet, all experience the same grace of Jesus Christ.

The ultimate goal in this life and in the next is living in relationship with Jesus Christ. He is the ultimate source of meaning, happiness, hope, joy, and love. FPCSA seeks to grow into His likeness, challenging and encouraging one another to deepen their faith and serve God with the purpose that He has given each individual. In 1 Corinthians 12:12, the Apostle Paul writes, “Your body has many parts – limbs, organs, cells – but no matter how many parts you can name, you’re still one body. It’s exactly the same with Christ.” (Msg) This church – with all its different parts – aims to display Jesus Christ to the seeking world.

A PERSEVERING CHURCH FPCSA is not a "easy-come-easy-go" church. During the 1960’s many congregations fled the downtown area. This “urban flight” left several abandoned churches in a densely populated area, full of ministry opportunities. FPCSA, however, made a conscious decision to stand as a beacon of light in the city; the result has been tremendous. Having celebrated 125 years of ministry in November 2007, FPCSA recognizes that their "mission field" is on the doorstep of the church, and they are not easily shaken from where God has called them. MINISTRY-FOCUSED SERVICE Several resources are available to homeless, low-income familes, kids, homebound seniors and more. Ministries to serve the church, the Santa Ana community and even other countries are starting up as needs are discovered. Opportunities to get connected to people within the congregation for Bible Studies, Sunday School, and Music Ministry are also available. Each outreach, mission trip, bible study and Sunday School class is focused on encouraging our relationships with Jesus Christ to grow wholistically, addressing the needs of this life and beyond.
